Welcome to the Website of Igepa Nederland B.V. (Igepa). As a subsidiary of Igepa Group we take the protection of an individual’s privacy seriously. Below you will find our privacy policy to inform you about the type of data we collect about you and how we use it. The privacy statement can be adjusted. The website always shows the latest version, so regularly check if changes have been made. By using this website, you agree to this privacy statement and our use of cookies as explained below. Don’t use this website if you don’t agree with these conditions. 


Scope of this privacy policy 

This privacy policy is intended to inform you how Igepa uses personal data and which information about the users of the website(s) of Igepa (‘online services’) is collected and evaluated and then used, passed on to third parties or otherwise processed. 


Data collection 

Data provided by you 

Normally, data protection is not required for using our online services. If personal data (name, postal address or e-mail address) are processed in the context of our online services, these personal data will only be processed to the extent necessary for the execution of our online services or delivery of goods. For example, if you would like to receive the newsletter which we offer on our website, we need your e-mail address and specific data to be able to check if you are owner of the e-mail address you entered. 


Automatically collected data 

Depending on how you use our website, we can collect and save different types of information about you. Through the website we collect personal data, such as your name and e-mail address, that you supply to us for certain products and services. We also collect data on the browser of your computer, including the IP-address of your computer and the location of a person, browser type, operating system and the internet pages your visit. If you open our website from a mobile phone or other device, we can record the Unique Device Identifier contained in this service. Such automatically collected data are not linked to data from other services. However, if there are concrete indications of unlawful use, we reserve the right to still verify such data. 

Google Analytics 

Our website makes use of Google Analytics, a web analysis offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics makes use of “cookies” (text files placed on your computer) to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (incl. your IP-address) is transferred to Google and stored on servers in the USA. Google uses this information to analyse how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity for website-operators and to offer other services related to website activity and internet use. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if these third parties process information on behalf of Google. Google will not combine your IP-address with other data held by Google. 

Refusing Cookies 

You can refuse the use of cookies in your browser by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in that case you may not be able to use all features of this website. By using this website you consent to the processing of information in the manner and for the purpose described above. 


LinkedIn / Facebook 

The information that is processed by Facebook and LinkedIn is stored on servers in the USA. These Social Media adhere to the Privacy Shield principles and are affiliated with the Privacy Shield program of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data. 

The buttons on our website work by means of pieces of code derived from the Social Media itself. Cookies are placed through this code. We have no influence on it. Therefore, you should read the privacy statements of Facebook and LinkedIn to find out how they deal with your (personal) data. Version May 2018 Page 3 

Use of personal data 

Insofar as processing of your personal data takes place, it is only for the benefit of and in accordance with one or more specific goals for which you have given permission. It mainly concerns: 

  • Delivery, improving and supporting our online services: It includes analysing data, identifying usage trends and making calculations and statistics on patterns in user access. This data will be anonymised or pseudonomisized. 

  • Marketing: Only if you have approved, your personal data is used for marketing purposes, such as surveys, raffles or other advertising campaigns. In that case your data is stored for up to two years, unless a longer storage is legally required for other reasons. You can withdraw your permission to use your personal data for marketing purposes at any time. 

  • Mailing of the newsletter: If you fill out the web form to sign up for our newsletter, we will exclusively use your data to check whether you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and would like to receive the newsletter, to compose a mailing list and to analyse the use of our newsletter. In that case your data will be stored for two years after termination of the subscription, unless a longer storage is legally required for other reasons. Your data will only be used by us for other purposes if you have agreed with it. 

  • Ordering reports or other information material: If you order reports or other information material, the personal data provided by you is exclusively used to process your order and is stored for a period of maximum one year after the last shipment. For the execution of orders we can make use of services of third parties, to whom we exclusively pass on your data to the extent necessary for the execution of your order. 

  • Use of contact form: If you use the contact form for requests/questions, the information provided by you, inclusive of your contact data, is used to process the requests/questions and is saved for possible later use in case of follow-up questions. If required for the processing of your request/question we can also pass on your personal data to subsidiaries within the Igepa Group or to third parties involved. Your personal data will be stored for the duration of the processing of your request/question, with a maximum of one year after completion, unless a longer storage is legally required for other reasons. 

  • Applications: Applications contain personal data (for example CV, contact data etc.). We can use such personal data within the Igepa Group to decide whether to appoint a candidate or not or to answer the letter of application. We will explicitly ask you for permission to save this data for a maximum of one year after completion of the application procedure, in order to be able to use it later on.

  • Execution and management of assignments: For the execution of orders we can make use of services of third parties, to whom we exclusively pass on your data to the extent necessary for the execution of your order. You can be contacted in the context of a customer satisfaction survey or for market research. If you request us not to use your data, we will respect this wish. 

  • Protection of rights and property: If we have reason to assume the rights and properties of Igepa, her suppliers, her customers or third parties are violated, we can use and pass on your personal data to protect these rights and/or properties. In addition, we reserve the right to publish your personal data, provided we are required to do so by law, or by order of competent authorities or if this is necessary to ensure a fair trial or to protect the rights mentioned above. 

  • Clearing and consolidating data: The personal data provided by you whose retention period hasn’t been expired yet can from time to time be checked or consolidated with (i) data from our existing registers (online and offline), (ii) data taken over from a legal predecessor, or (iii) data from other sources. 

  • Reviews: We love to hear your experiences with our website(s) and our products. If you leave a review, for example through Social Media, our website(s) or a review request, we can use such a review (or a part of it) for any purpose, meaning we won’t use your review (or a part of it) in combination with your name or other personal data. Only with your prior and explicit approval we will further use your review (or a part of it) in combination with your name (or other personal data) you have provided us. 

  • Ordering webshop purchases: Igepa uses and saves your personal data with regard to your order to be able to process, invoice and deliver your order as fast and easy as possible. Only necessary personal data will be requested. 

Sharing data 

We may share your data with other Igepa entities to provide information and services that you request from us and to improve our services. Only with your approval we will share your data with external parties, unless it is required by law or by an authority. Depending on the type of interaction you have requested (for example request to be called back, placing an order, request of services, information etc.) your data may be exchanged with third parties that are involved in the execution of orders (for example mail-order-firms, banks etc.) or other subsidiaries with the Igepa Group. We may also be required to provide personal data in order to comply with legal requirements or to enforce rights and agreements. 

  • Passing on data to third parties: For Igepa it is important to deliver your desired order or service. For the execution of these orders and services we cooperate with external service providers (for example forwarding agents). Such service providers may only use or pass on the data collected and processed by us for the execution of the order placed by Igepa. 

  • Use of data within the Igepa Group: Igepa and her affiliates are part of an international concern with cross-border internal operational processes, structures and technical systems. We may use your personal data within the Igepa Group and, if necessary, pass on to our establishments in other EU-countries. 

  • Compliance with laws and other obligations: We will process your personal data to (i) comply with or enforce laws or regulations, orders from public bodies or mandatory measures, (ii) detect and prevent safety risks, fraud or other malicious activities, (iii) protect and maintain rights and properties of Igepa or third parties, and (iv) to protect the rights and personal safety of our employees and third parties. 

Right on information, withdrawal and deletion of your personal data 

You are entitled to request written information about personal data processed by us. In addition you have, in connection with the use of your personal data, the right to access, rectify, delete, revoke or limit its processing and the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority. You can send such requests and possible other questions to the contact address. Requesting a copy or deleting personal data is limited to the data we have collected with your permission or that were required for the execution of your agreement with us. 

You can cancel your subscription to our newsletter by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe of this list’- or unsubscribe link in the newsletter. Of course you can withdraw your consent at any time, by simply sending an e-mail to mentioning you don’t want to receive information from us any longer. 

If you wish to withdraw your consent to store or use your data, you can of course also send an e-mail to Withdrawal of your consent will not have retroactive effect and processing up to the moment of withdrawal remains lawful. 



We strive to keep your data safe. For this reason, we have implemented technical and organisational security measures to avoid loss of your data or unauthorized access to your data. 

Igepa applies a large number of data protection measures to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your personal data. Given the nature of internet, however, we would like to point out there our security risks associated with data transfer through internet (for example communication by e-mail) and that full protection of data against access by third parties is not reasonably possible. 


Secure connection 

During payment in our webshop the connection between you and Igepa is secured by means of SSL. SSL encrypts this information, so it can only be read by the intended party. You don’t need additional software to pay with SSL. You recognize a good webshop with a SSL security directly by the ‘lock’ symbol in your internet browser when you check out. In addition, you can immediately recognize a secured SSL-connection by the https:// address. Version May 2018 Page 6
